Atlanta Thrashers Live Desktop/Dynamic Screensaver

The Atlanta Thrashers are proud to anounce the launching of the Live Desktop/Dynamic Screensaver, a first in the National Hockey League with live game information..

This exciting and innovative Live Desktop/Dynamic Screensaver will provide you, live game scores, play by play details, video highlights, game roster, goal scorers, player statistics, standings, personalized calender with Thrashers games and events, latest news, customized background pictures with your favourite players.

The software is an executable file that you can download. All you need is an internet connection. If you have a active internet connection, the screensaver will automatically retrieve the information from the Thrashers' website. During a Atlanta Thrashers game, the information will be updated approximately every 30 seconds to 2 minutes. To download the Atlanta Thrashers Live Desktop/Dynamic Screensaver, click on the link below. You will be asked if you want to Open or Save the file. Select save and download the file to your computer. Once you have downloaded the installer file double-click it and follow the on-screen instructions. The program will automatically install as your default screensaver. This can be used as a Stand-alone product too. To use it, double click on the Atlanta Thrashers Icon on your desktop.

This product is developed and designed by Cyberteks Design, a web design and multimedia development company in Canada. The President and CEO of the company is a 15 year old hockey goalie who founded the company when he was just 11 years old.   • Please note: If your network is protected by a firewall, you may have to get permission to utilize this program.

How to use this unique Live Desktop/Dynamic Screensaver

  • This Live Desktop/Dynamic Screensaver can be used as a Screensaver or as a stand alone product (Live Desktop). When it is installed it will automatically make this product as your default screensaver. If you don't wish to make this as the default screensaver, please change it using by right clicking on your desktop, then click on properties and change the settings under screensaver. Atlanta Thrashers logo will be diplayed as an icon so that you can click whenever you want this product to be displayed. Please note that if you run the screensaver and at the same time click on the icon on your desktop, the screensaver may crash and give you a error message to close the program. In other words, either you use the Screensaver function or the Live Desktop.

  • When the screensaver is running, when you click the "X" on the top right or press escape, the screensaver will close.

  • In order for you get the live updates, you have to be connected to the internet. If you are not connected to the internet, only the backgrounds will be displayed.

  • There are 6 buttons on the left hand side of the screensaver. They are as follows. GAME SUMMARY, CALENDAR, NEWS, STATISTICS, HELP and ATLANTA THRASHERS WEBSITE.

  • GAME SUMMARY window will have the following features:
    • Live Score - The live score will appear on the left hand side with team logos. The time and period will be displayed on the yellow bar of the game summary.
    • Game Roster - This will display roster of both teams with Position (POS), Goals (G)and Assists (A) up to that game. To look at the full list, please use the scroller on the right hand side of the Game Summary window.
    • Live Game - Text based play by play summary of the game will be displayed and updated whenever an event occurs.
    • Goals - A detailed listing of all goals and asists scored during the game will be displayed. It will also displays Even Strength (ES), Pwer Play (PP), Short Handed (SH), Empty Net (EN) and Penalty Shot (PS).
    • Final Summary - Box score, Attendance, 3 Stars, Goalies names and Player summaries of both teams will be displayed. The player summaries will include Goals (G), Assists (A), Points (P), Shots (S), Shot Percentage (S%), Plus/Minus (+-) and Penalty Minutes (PIM).
    • Video Highlights - Video hightlights will be displayed few hours after the game is completed. Video Highlights of previous games can be viewed through the calendar functions. Please note that you require Windows Media Player to view the Video Highlights. If you don't have have Windows Media Player Plug-in, you can download it by clicking the area at the bottom of the Video Highlights Window.

  • STATISTICS window will have the following features:
    • Skaters - Detailed statistics of all Atlanta Thrashers skaters will be displyed. This will include Games played (GP), Goals (G), Assists (A), Points (P), Plus/Minus (+-), Penalty Minutes (PIM), Face off Percentages (FO%), Shots (S)and Shot Percentages (S%). Using the scroller function at the right, users can read the full list. Please note that all columns displayed can be sorted by clicking on any one of these headers.
    • Goalies - Detailed statistics of Atlanta Thrashers goalies will be displayed. This will include Games Played (GP), Minutes Played (MIN), Wins (W), Losses (L), Ties (T), Goals Against Average (GAA), Penalty Minutes (PIM), Shots Against (SA), Goals Against (GA), Save Percentage (S%) and Shutouts (SO). Please note that all columns displayed can be sorted by clicking on any one of these headers.
    • Playoff Picture - Standings of the Southeast Division and the playoff picture of the Eastern Conference will be displayed. This will include Ranking, Games Played (GP), Wins (W), Losses (L), Ties (T), Over Time Losses (OTL), Goals for (GF), Goals Against (GA) and Points (PTS).

  • CALENDAR window will have the following features:
    • Thrashers Homes Games - Will be displayed in Red box.
    • Thrashers Away Games - Will be displayed in Blue box
    • Thrashers Other Events - Will be displayed in Yellow Box.
    • Your Personal Events - Will be displayed in Black box
    • Add Your Personal Event - You can add your personal events like burthdays, appointments or any other event you like. Please click ADD EVENT button and you will be prompted to enter the date and your event desicription. Only you can see your personal events. All personal information will be stored in your personal computer. So if you enter your personal events from the computer at home, and then open the screensaver at your office, you will not see your personal events.
    • Edit Your Personal Events - You can edit your personal events.
    • Delete Your Personal Events - You can delete your personal events
    • Zoom in Calendar - This will give you a Full Screen Version of the Calendar. This will display the results of all previous games and also the Video Hightlights of all previous games. If there are several events, the users can use the scroll function available for all days. You also can add your personal events from this screen too. Furthermore, link to BUY TICKETS Is at the bottom left of the screen. You can use the ARROWS and change the months as you wish.

  • NEWS window will display current news items of Atlanta Thrashers

  • SETTINGS - When you first installed the screensaver, you will get 4 background images. If you you do not wish to have all 4 backgrounds, you can click on the Settings button at the left bottom corner and de-select the backgrounds you wish to delete. The Atlanta Thrashers may add more backgrounds in the future. You will promted to download those images from the Thrashers servers. Furthermore, if you have dial up internet connection, you should select LOW BANDWIDTH VIDEOS from the settings menu. The individual Windows (Game Summary, Statistics, Calendar and News) can be moved using the left arrow button to any position you wish. However after you moved your windows and you want them in their original position, you can click RESET PANEL POSITIONS button.

ATLANTA THRASHERS LIVE DESKTOP/INTERACTIVE SCREENSAVER

END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT

These terms apply to this software developed by Cyberteks Design, A Division of Cyberteks Systems Corporation (the "Product") for Atlanta Hockey Club, Inc.

BY CLICKING THE ACCEPTANCE BUTTON OR INSTALLING OR USING THE PRODUCT THE INDIVIDUAL OR ENTITY ACQUIRING OR DOWNLOADING THE PRODUCT "LICENSEE") IS CONSENTING TO BE BOUND BY AND IS BECOMING A PARTY TO THIS AGREEMENT. IF LICENSEE DOES NOT AGREE TO ALL OF THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT, THE BUTTON INDICATING NON-ACCEPTANCE MUST BE SELECTED, AND LICENSEE MUST NOT INSTALL OR USE THE SOFTWARE.

1. License Agreement
In this Agreement "Licensor" shall mean Atlanta Hockey Club Inc. and Cyberteks Design. The terms of this License shall supersede the terms of any other license or agreement in relation to the Licensee's acquisition and use of the Product.

2. Licensee Grant
Licensor grants to Licensee a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use for personal purposes the Product. This license does not entitle Licensee to receive from Licensor hard-copy documentation, technical support, telephone assistance or enhancements or updates to the Product.

3. Restrictions
Except as otherwise expressly permitted in this Agreement, Licensee may not (a) modify or create any derivative works of the Product or documentation, including translation or localization, (b) decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code for the Product, (c) redistribute, encumber, sell, rent, lease, sublicense or otherwise transfer the Product or rights to the Product, or (d) remove or alter any trademark, logo, copyright or other proprietary notices, legends, symbols or labels in the Product.

4. Fees
There is no license fee for the Product.

5. Termination
Without prejudice to any other rights, Licensor may terminate this Agreement if Licensee breaches any of its terms and conditions. On termination, Licensee shall destroy all copies of the Product.

6. Proprietary Rights
Title and ownership rights of the finished product shall remain with the Atlanta Hockey Club Inc.. The source code and other intellectual property rights in the Product (DynaScreensaver™) shall remain with Cyberteks Design, the developer of the product. Licensee acknowledges such ownership and intellectual property rights and will not take any action to jeopardize, limit or interfere in any manner with Licensor's or its licensor's or its suppliers' ownership of or rights with respect to the Product. The Product is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws and by international treaties. Title and related rights in the content accessed through the Product is the property of the applicable content owner and is protected by applicable law. The license granted under this Agreement gives Licensee no rights to such content.

7. Disclaimer of Warranty
THE PRODUCT IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE, AND, THEREFORE, ON AN "AS IS" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTY OR CONDITION OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE WARRANTIES THAT IT IS FREE OF DEFECTS, MERCHANTABLE, FIT FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGING. THE ENTIRE RISK AS TO THE QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE OF THE PRODUCT IS BORNE BY LICENSEE. SHOULD THE PRODUCT PROVE DEFECTIVE IN ANY RESPECT, LICENSEE AND NOT LICENSOR OR ITS LICENSORS OR SUPPLIERS OR RESELLERS ASSUMES THE ENTIRE COST OF ANY SERVICE AND REPAIR. IN ADDITION, THE SECURITY MECHANISMS IMPLEMENTED BY THE PRODUCT HAVE INHERENT LIMITATIONS, AND LICENSEE MUST DETERMINE THAT THE PRODUCT SUFFICIENTLY MEETS ITS REQUIREMENTS. THIS DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY CONSTITUTES AN ESSENTIAL PART OF THIS AGREEMENT. NO USE OF THE PRODUCT IS AUTHORIZED UNDER THIS AGREEMENT EXCEPT UNDER THIS DISCLAIMER.

8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL LICENSOR OR ITS LICENSORS OR SUPPLIERS OR RESELLERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PRODUCT, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF GOODWILL, WORK STOPPAGE, COMPUTER FAILURE OR MALFUNCTION, OR ANY AND ALL OTHER COMMERCIAL DAMAGES OR LOSSES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY THEREOF, AND REGARDLESS OF THE LEGAL OR EQUITABLE THEORY (CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE) ON WHICH THE CLAIM IS BASED. IN ANY CASE, LICENSOR'S ENTIRE LIABILITY UNDER ANY PROVISION OF THIS AGREEMENT SHALL NOT EXCEED IN THE AGGREGATE THE SUM OF THE FEES LICENSEE PAID FOR THIS LICENSE (IF ANY), WITH THE EXCEPTION OF DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF LICENSOR TO THE EXTENT APPLICABLE LAW PROHIBITS THE LIMITATION OF DAMAGES IN SUCH CASES. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THIS EXCLUSION AND LIMITATION MAY NOT BE APPLICABLE. LICENSOR IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF CONTENT PROVIDED BY LICENSEE OR A THIRD PARTY THAT IS ACCESSED THROUGH THE PRODUCT AND/OR ANY MATERIAL LINKED THROUGH SUCH CONTENT.

9. Miscellaneous
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties concerning the subject-matter hereof. This Agreement may be amended only by a writing signed by both parties. Except to the extent applicable law, if any, provides otherwise, this Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the United States of America, excluding its conflict of law provisions. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all disputes relating to this Agreement (excepting any dispute relating to intellectual property rights) shall be subject to the laws of the United States of America.

This Agreement shall not be governed by the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If any provision in this Agreement should be held illegal or unenforceable by a court having jurisdiction, such provision shall be modified to the extent necessary to render it enforceable without losing its intent, or severed from this Agreement if no such modification is possible, and other provisions of this Agreement shall remain in full force and effect. The controlling language of this Agreement is English. If Licensee has received a translation into another language, it has been provided for Licensee's convenience only. A waiver by either party of any term or condition of this Agreement or any breach thereof, in any one instance, shall not waive such term or condition or any subsequent breach thereof.

The provisions of this Agreement which require or contemplate performance after the expiration or termination of this Agreement shall be enforceable notwithstanding said expiration or termination.

Licensee may not assign or otherwise transfer by operation of law or otherwise this Agreement or any rights or obligations herein except in the case of a merger or the sale of all or substantially all of Licensee's assets to another entity.

This Agreement shall be binding on and shall endure to the benefit of the parties, their successors and permitted assigns. Neither party shall be in default or be liable for any delay, failure in performance (excepting the obligation to pay) or interruption of service resulting directly or indirectly from any cause beyond its reasonable control.

If any dispute arises under this Agreement, the prevailing party shall be reimbursed by the other party for any and all legal fees and costs associated therewith.

The headings to the sections of this Agreement are used for convenience only and shall have no substantive meaning.

10. Licensee Outside the U.S.

If Licensee is located outside the U.S., then the provisions of this Section shall apply.

The parties confirm that this Agreement and all related documentation is and will be in the English language.

Licensee is responsible for complying with any local laws in its jurisdiction which might impact its right to acquire, download or use the Product, and Licensee represents that it has complied with any regulations or registration procedures required by applicable law to make this license enforceable.

11. Privacy of Information
By using the Service, you are also bound by our Privacy Policy, available at http://www.atlantathrashers.com/View.aspx?CID01=aa0f658c-4e91-4288-8496-4d18cb046668 which governs your visit and use of the Service.
